To reduce carbon emissions, we are increasingly deploying alternative energy sources like CNG and Hybrid technology in a fleet of our best selling vehicles.
The share of solar power in our energy portfolio is steadily increasing. We are also using solar power in manufacturing of vehicles. Additionally, solar power panels are being used in parking areas to shield cars from harsh weather conditions, while generating power.
Solar power capacity increased to 26.3 MWp in FY 2021-22 from 10.4 MWp
That’s not all. We are also reducing carbon emissions in vehicle dispatches. Our increasing use of rail transport over road transport to dispatch vehicles has helped avoid over 4,800 MT of CO2 emissions in the past eight years as it saved over 156,000 truck trips and over 174 million litres of fuel.
