On slippery tracks or undulating surfaces, the Jimny's Brake Limited Slip Differential (BLSD) feature automatically comes into play. If any wheel loses grip, this feature automatically pumps the brakes on the slipping wheels and redistributes the torque to the wheel on the other side of the axle that has traction, to give it the power it needs to allow the Jimny to soldier on. So, while the ground beneath you may not always be as firm as your resolve, with the Jimny you can tread on relentlessly.
In four-wheel drive (4L) mode, the system has been specially adjusted to offer better control in rough road conditions. Traction control becomes stronger when the vehicle is travelling under 30km/h.
